what is love?
what's love?
"True love is the process of extending yourself to others" (my opinion).
"During existence, one usually harbors feelings of love towards someone or something. “Love” describes feelings of fondness, deep affection, high preference and/or enjoyment. One can love anything or anyone. Sometimes love is a virtue. For example, a love for exercise or knowledge tends to benefit a person. Sometimes love is harmful. A love for drugs or crime may be destructive. Reasons for love are obvious. Someone loves whatever supports his/her cause. Realistically, people do not love that which contradicts their own interests. One must remember the definition of love (fondness, preference) to accept these facts. So if a person’s objective is to stay healthy, he/she does not love to smoke. If a person’s objective is to have fun, he/she loves to hangout and play" (Islamic belief).
"Love comforteth like sunshine after rain" (Shakespeare).
"True love doesn't come to you it has to be inside you" (Julia Roberts).
"What a grand thing, to be loved! What a grander thing still, to love!" (Victor Hugo).
"Lian is a virtuous benevolent love. Lian should be pursued by all human beings, and reflects a moral life." (Confucius).
So what exactly is love?

Another work day on the campus.
This year's PIBC Days. The campus has been dissected into 3 sections and for each section a team of students (There are 3 teams) have been assigned an area. They are supposed to work that section of the campus and beautify it..... And during PIBC days the different areas will be judged. I know my team is going to win.
P.S: I am not eligible to apply for the guam ID until I have reside on guam for atleast 90 days. I am 54 days short. So it is fate after all.

Fate or Faith?
Have you ever felt fate working against you? For the past three weeks I have been trying to get a Guam ID and everytime I was set to go, something BAD had to happen. First time, it was a holiday so most offices were closed. Then the next week it was another holiday. Then this week we made it through but only to find that there were some paper works that we need to do first before we can register as a resident. Frankly I am not sure what's to happen this week... I bet it's not something good. Gotta have to trust God!

Finally!
It's been awhile since my last post. A lot has happened lately and I was without the privilege of time with a computer. But finally I am back.
PIBC days is coming up and alot of the students are picking up with their exercises and work-outs. PIBC days is a tremendous fun. It is a combination of sports event with a spiritual emphasis. If I am not mistaken, the topic has something to do with RUNNING TOWARDS THE GOAL.
This easter break I have plans to go home and visit my family. I am already very homesick! School can be very dull when the same routine keeps going on and on monotonously.
Yesterday had some good news! The caterer for our food service changed, and for once we had a taste of FISH, good 'ol fish! What can I say, I'm an islander at heart.
Every saturday I go to the Palauan Evangelical Church here on Guam and do a Bible study for their youth group. Today, our lesson focus was on opening our eyes to Jesus. We discuss the importance of having a biblical worldview.
Here's one prayer request: My dad and President Dave Owen are off island in Pohnpei doing meetings with the possibilities of setting up a TF (teaching facility for PIBC) there.
Somewhere in March, I forgot, I am scheduled to preach in our preaching class. The instructor is Brad Boydston, D.Min. I have some ideas of what I want to preach but it's still up here (in my head) formulating. I have no idea preaching can be fun!
