Virginia

Hello everyone! As of now, I am in the church office of Howard Merrell's church. We came here yesterday from the Mission Conference in New Jersy. This sunday I will be speaking at their evening service. I will also be speaking to their youth group during sunday school. Pray that the Lord will bring forth the words that will be a glory to Him!

weekly updates

After the Owens left:

1. Rob Watts, Ben Haas, and I went over to Walmart, a five minute trip from Liebenzell. On Sunday we had worship service and a missionary to China gave the message. Then we went on a tour of Manhatten. Later that evening we played freesbie.

2. Monday, I went with all of the missionary kids to Dorney Park, an amusement park with cool rides and lots of fun. I went on evey major ride there was. The park closed at 10 pm we came back around 1 am.

3. This morning Robertson Mcquilkin spoke during the morning devotion. It was one of those rare moments that I thank God that I was present and not somewhere else.

Hello from NJ!

Hi everyone! I am finally in Schooley's Mt, NJ. It has been a blast. Just getting to know the people here and to listen to their stories of how God has been working in their life and ministries is just awe-inspiring. To me, it feels like stepping into Hebrews 11, though some would say on a lesser scale maybe, but I would disagree. The people here have faith to move mountains.
Dave and Joyce will be leaving soon :-( and for a month I'll be on my own.
Melissa Heck is here, the Farnsworth are here, Rob Watt is here and even Grandpa Steve is here!
I guess the bottom line to all of this is that God is good and I am having fun!

"retros"

I can't say that I am not enjoying my time, because I am. Last week, we spoke at a school. Then on Sunday, we went to a church in Camino where Steve Leuice is pastoring. He is an old time friend of PIBC. That was fun.

There is something about Northern California, especially the people, that I like. It almost feel like it's Micronesia. It's laid back and free, you almost feel like time is at a slower pace here.

My head is kinda spinning because we just got back from a county fair and I went on the rides with Dave, Joyce, and Michael, their son.

Gold Country Baptist Church

I finally gave my first "talk" in the USA! I think I did ok, though I could have done better. Imagine speaking in a language that is not your original language in front of lots of people who grew up speaking it. I did it twice: Morning service and 2nd service. Then I had the privilege of teaching a group elementary aged kids "God is so good" in Chuukese, this was during children's church. That was alot of fun. Then I shared in high school department sunday school. But the thing that got me closed to tears (of joy, thankfulness, and amazement) was when I was with this group of high schoolers and this one girl shared that they'd been praying for me for several months now and she finally got to see me. That was a real encouragment to her. It was a real big ENCOURAGEMENT for me! It's a blessing to know people are committed to praying for me from halfway around the world. Oh, I guess I met about 20 + people now.

And I heard we got the new kitchen/dining installed back at the campus. That is great news!
